Gymboree Play & Music Thousand Oaks offers hands-on play, music, and art classes for infants, babies, and toddlers ages 0-5. Our iconic classes are designed by child development experts to bring parents and kids together for learning, socialization, play, music, dance, art, and fun! We are a small family-owned business with a great team looking for new teachers to expand our operations.

Job Title: Gymboree Play & Music Teacher

We are looking to find new team members and we have part-time to almost full-time opportunities available. We provide all the training and education that is needed to be a great professional Gymboree Play & Music teacher! If you are pursuing a degree or career in teaching this is a great opportunity to gain some real-world experience.


Gymboree Play & Music is the world’s leading parent-child interactive program for children ages newborn to five years. We celebrate over 40 years of bringing play, music, arts, and structured learning to families across the United States and around the world!


Teaching Program Materials

  • Facilitate parent-child interactive activities. There are 3 core educational programs:
  • Play classes include age-appropriate play activities on our custom-designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles
  • Music classes involve instrument activities, singing, dancing, and exploring a variety of music styles from around the world. Candidates must possess a musical background to teach Gymboree Music classes
  • Art classes offer hands-on, process-oriented activities including painting, sculpting, collage making, and dress-up time, in addition to movement activities and songs that support different art themes explored
  • Lesson plans to learn and follow according to Gymboree curriculum

Sales/Customer Service

  • Be responsible for knowing and achieving sales goals
  • Use features and benefits of Gymboree Play & Music to provide information and sell memberships, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to new and existing customers.
  • Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers
  • Assist with off-site grassroots events (ex. Local Community Events & Activities, etc.)


  • Work with Care.com, our online CRM database management system
  • Attend designated staff meetings and training activities
  • Maintain site standards, including, but not limited to: cleaning, stocking, pricing of merchandise, and helping with equipment set changes

NOTE: Gymboree Play & Music provides all training and education necessary.


  • Experience working with children newborn to 5 years preferred
  • Solid group leadership skills
  • In-person and on the phone sales experience

Part-time available. Classes are held on weekdays and on the weekends.


Starting pay is based on experience, all team members get reviews every six months

COVID-19 considerations:

We run a very clean facility. All equipment and play materials are disinfected after each class. We deep clean the facility every two weeks. Access to facility is controlled, all customers are temperature checked, and masks are required for all adults.
